Watch in HD!!! This is a cover of a song titled 'Reindeer Age' by a band called 'Closure in Moscow'. I'm a huge fan of this band, and I've wanted to cover one of their songs for some time now. This entire album is really good, and I wish I had heard about it back when it came out. One of my favorite producers/engineers today, Kris Crummett, actually produced this album.
A lot of the fills in this cover aren't played like the original version. Because of how fast paced this song is, I took some liberties in embellishing drums fills and making them my own. I had a lot of fun learning and recording this song. There isn't anything crazy complex going on in this song, but some of the fills were a bit tricky to nail...
Here's what Im using in this video.
