Watch in HD!!!!! This is a drum cover of a song called 'Can Someone Please Explain This to Me' by the band 'Ion Dissonance'.
Ion Dissonance has been one of my favorite bands for such a long time now. Some of their material is insanely heavy, and their music has influenced a lot of my heavier solo material. I've wanted to post another cover of one of their songs for some time now.
I decided to add a few fills and licks in certain areas that aren't in the original song. Unfortunately, Im not really all that quick on my feet, so I replaced a few of the faster kick sections with some interesting fills around the kit. Im always a huge fan of embellishing parts, and I always try and do my best to play something in my own style. So I did, and I hope people dig it.
Here's what Im using in this video.
