The Courtesan's Boat is romantic film by director Dang Nhat Minh, published in 1987. The screenplay was written by the VFF. The film tells the story of Nguyet, a prostitute working on Pefume River during the time of the Saigon Government. She saved the life of a Communist and he promised he would go find her after the liberation day. Her faith in him was broken after she realized that he was trying to avoid her. The film received a Silver Lotus and the leading actress Minh Chau received a Golden Lotus in the 1988 Vietnam National Film Festival.
