“Fox News’ Shep Smith took a moment at the end of his broadcast today to stand up for CNN after Trump went after Fox’s cable rival at his earlier press conference.

Trump today got combative with CNN’s Jim Acosta in response to their report about intel that was presented to him purportedly containing “compromising” information of questionable accuracy about him. CNN has taken great pains to emphasize that their report was different from BuzzFeed’s more-criticized report that included a dossier of such alleged information.

Trump even called CNN “fake news” at one point at the presser.”
