Vocarock master 164's beautiful rock ballad for MAYU's release. Absolutely love the soothing and sad instrumentals in this song. I like how all the producers use some creative ways of working in the yandere theme without always being obvious about it. Here Mayu isn't really crazy but she is using some pretty graphic metaphors when talking about the depths of her heartbreak and sadness isn't she? My favorite part of doing this is just the amazing opportunity to translate and share songs from all these amazing composers who I have admired for so long. 164's "Shiningray" has always been one of those emotionally impactful songs that has been with me since I first started listening to Vocaloid.
