Video Meek Mill's Bail DENIED By Judge Brinkley | Hip Hop News

According to TMZ, Judge Genece Brinkley denied Meek bail, and as a result, he'll continue to serve time in jail. Last November, Meek Mill was sentenced to 2-4 years for violating his probation, stemming from a 2007 arrest. Despite numerous allegations pinned against Brinkley -- including stories of her allegedly demanding Meek to leave Roc Nation in order to sign with her friend Charlie Mack -- she continues to be the on case, and will reportedly not recuse herself.

In a statement sent to Billboard, Meek's attorney, Joe Tacopina, spoke out against Brinkley's decision to deny his client bail. “This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta," says Tacopina. "In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented. Fortunately, we have already filed petitions with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to secure his release and we remain hopeful that the Court will right this injustice very soon.”

Recently, Governor Tom Wolf voiced his support to the embattled MC, stating that the "criminal system is in need of repair." Meek's legal team is currently seeking an appeal to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to help him get out of his current sentence. #freemeekmill
