I’m allergic to people.

Ah! I’m finally doing a Kairiki Bear song and I’m sure people are wondering why I’m not doing Failure Girl or one of their more popular songs. Well you see, it’s simple. This one is an embodiment of my soul. Like if my soul had a baby and it was a song, it would be this one. I’m sure most of you know that I struggle with social anxiety big time and have many stories of me nearly hyperventilating in high school at the thought of people looking at me in passing, seeing every embarrassing detail. Obviously, I didn’t have many friends much less date anyone by the end of high school but that’s another funny story. Hitosama Allergy/People Allergy conveys those feelings in a way that I think a lot of people can relate to wether or not you experienced a full on anxiety attack. Much like an allergic reaction or an asthma attack, your body overreacts in painful ways when encountering other people that make daily life for some unbearable. It’s a great analogy in my opinion and a great song. (Only wish I could’ve made the lyrics more exact to the translations!)
