Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris, is spilling it all in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. The 18-year-old opens up about her father’s death, depression and Jackson family secrets. Her raw and in-depth interview is the first time she is really speaking out about the death of the late King of Pop and how it has affected her life.
Michael died of an accidental overdose suddenly in 2009 at the age of 50, paris was only 10 years old. She bluntly tells Rolling stone that the saying, “Time heals” is a load of crap. Paris says, “It really doesn’t. You just get used to it. I live life with the mentality of ‘Ok, I lose the only thing that has ever been important to me.’ So going forward, anything bad that happens can’t be nearly as bad as what happened before. So I can handle it.”
When talking about her past with attempted suicide, Paris reveals that in 2013 she cut herself and downed 20 pills of Motrin hoping to escape her overwhelming depression and drug addiction. And prior to her attempt in 2013, she reveals she had tried multiple times before.
She candidly opened up about her father’s questionable past. Michael was accused of sexually molesting children and eventually settled out of court. She tells Rolling Stone, “My father didn’t bullshit us. Picture your parent crying to you about the world hating him for something he didn’t do. And for me he was the only thing that mattered. To see my entire world in pain, I started to hate the world because of what they were doing to him.”
Now in a much better place, Michael’s only daughter is dating 26 year old drummer Michael Snoddy. In addition to being Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris has made a name for herself in the modeling industry and showbiz. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
What are your thoughts about her interview with Rolling Stone? Is this just another way to keep publicity on her family, or do you think this was therapeutic for her? Sound off in the comments section below!
