Cesar (Patrick Sugui/Ian Veneracion) sets his sights on pursuing his dream of becoming a painter even though he is colorblind. Having fallen deeply in love with the Caviteña lass Betty (Mary Joy Apostol/Angel Aquino) whom he met at a party, he decides to pursue her despite her parents’ objection. The couple eventually settle down, build a family of their own, and survive the horrors brought about by World War II. While Cesar spends most of his time refining his craft, Betty supports her husband with unwavering devotion. After years of study, hard work and dedication, Cesar becomes a National Artist, proving that behind every successful man is a strong woman. Having faced many trials and tribulations together, can Cesar and Betty weather another impending storm in their marriage?
