Terminal Commands:

Tip 3: defaults write com.apple.SoftwareUpdate ScheduleFrequency -int 1

Tip 5: defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool FALSE

Tip 7: sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.loginwindow LoginwindowText “ENTER HERE”

(NOTE: you will have to enter your computer's admin password after this command—the password won't look like it is being entered, but it is—hit "return" once you type password to run command)
