Playing a courteous host to the Turkish president in Sochi, Putin apparently tried to slide the piece of furniture back just as Erdogan was standing up, footage of the meeting showed. The chair however tilted and fell when Putin released it.
Erdogan was visiting Putin on Wednesday along with their Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, to discuss the Syrian peace process.
