Ji Hyun Woo (Wanted, Trot Lovers) and Yoo In Na (My Love From Another Star) star in a fantasy historical drama about a man whose loyalty survives three centuries of time travel and helps him find the woman of his dreams. In the Joseon Dynasty, year 1694, Kim Boong Do (Ji Hyun Woo) is a nobleman and scholar with a high-born background. He loyally supports Queen In Hyun (Crazy Love’s Kim Hae In), who was deposed as a result of a conspiracy on the part of the wicked Lady Jang (Signal’s Choi Woo Ree). It was that same conspiracy that also took the lives of Kim Boong Do’s family, and he now lives for the sole purpose of reinstating the removed queen. One day, due to a mysterious talisman, Kim Boon Do is magically transported to the future Seoul, year 2012. There, he comes across struggling actress Choi Hee Jin (Yoo In Na), whose new TV period drama role is none other than Queen In Hyun. While this could be the role that nets her both critical recognition and commercial success, Choi Hee Jin needs all the help she can get to truly become the famed queen. And who better to help her get in the shoes of the character and bring a little authenticity to the proceedings than the Queen’s most loyal fan? Now, as Choi Hee Jin and Kim Boong Do work together over the role, they slowly grow closer together, but can their love survive a conspiracy older than themselves?Adding to the drama are Hee Jin’s ex-boyfriend Han Dong Min (Remember and Golden Cross actor Kim Jin Woo), who now suddenly sees a handsome but mysterious stranger all around his ex, and Jo Soo Kyung (Sweet Savage Family alum Ga Deuk Hi), Hee Jin’s friend and manager.

Also known as “Queen and I,” Queen In Hyun’s Man is directed by Kim Byung Soo, who fans will remember from his work on Vampire Prosecutor and Three Musketeers. The drama is written by the writer team of Song Jae Jung and Kim Yoon Joo, who also worked together on Nine: Nine Time Travels. The drama was notable for being Yoo In Na’s first leading role, and led to a much-publicized romance between its two leads. Queen In Hyun’s Man debuted on tvN on April 18, 2012 in the 11:00PM time slot, with subsequent episodes airing every Wednesday and Thursday. The series ran for 16 episodes, with a finale airing on June 7, 2012, at which point it was followed by I Need Romance 2012.
