The 2015 SAG awards went down at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles tonight… or on Sunday Jan. 25th in case you’re watching this is in the future, and don’t fret if you missed the show because we’ve got you covered with a winners recap.
Welcome back to Clevver’s Trophy Life where we keep you updated on all the best moments you won’t want to miss this award show season.
The cast of “Birdman” took home a SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture beating out award show season favorite “Boyhood.” But Boyhood didn’t go home completely empty handed thanks to Patricia Arquette who won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in the unique film.
In the adjoining category, it was J.K Simmons who took home a SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Male in a Supporting Role for his performance in “Whiplash.”
In the head honcho categories, 2015 award show season favorite Julianne Moore snagged Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for “Still Alice” and many are speculating that Julianne will be the likely choice to claim the Oscar this year after also winning at the Golden Globes.
Another Oscar buzz nominee, Eddie Redmayne won the SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his heart wrenching performance as Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything.”

In the land of television, Viola Davis took home Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her addictive performance in the hit “How to Get Away with Murder.”
Kevin Spacey took home Outstanding performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his work in “House of Cards” which also snagged him a Golden Globe.
In the land of comedy, William H. Macy took home Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for “Shameless” and Uzo Aduba took home the SAG in the adjoining category for her work as Crazy Eyes in “Orange is the New Black.”
And speaking of the Netflix hit, “Orange is the New Black” snagged Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Well deserved.
