"With a few taps of his thumbs, President-elect Donald Trump again planted himself atop the news pages in Mexico.

This time it was that old familiar saw: Who's going to pay for the wall? Mexico! he trumpeted as usual — but this time with a twist. Any money “spent on building the Great Wall (for sake of speed), will be paid back by Mexico later!” he tweeted.

Mexico, which has repeatedly insisted it will not put a penny into constructing the wall, again took to the Internet to defend itself.

Former president Vicente Fox vowed that his countrymen wouldn't bankroll Trump's “racist monument.””*
