Here is Benjamin Britten's most popular work, the "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" (otherwise known as "Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell") conducted by the great Russian cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich. He is seen with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain at the 1998 Proms in the Royal Albert Hall, London. Apologies for the poor video quality but I think the upload is worth it for an interpretation that in some places is not quite what we're used to!
