Deniz 1973 İstanbul'da doğdu ve büyüdü. 1985 yılında davulla tanıştı,1993 yılında profesyonelliğe adım attı. Aralarında Teoman, Kıraç, Feridun Düzağaç, Nil Karaibrahimgil, Funda Arar Ajda Pekkanın bulunduğu sayısız şarkıcı ve müzisyene sahne ve stüdyo kayıtlarında eşlik etti. 2004 yılında tanıştığı melodik perküsyonları (log drum) ile Almanyada yayınlanan enstrümental bir albüm yaptı. 2009 yılında şu an çaldığı Aqua drumları üretmeye başladı. Melodik perküsyon ailesinin kanun gibi akordu değiştirilebilen ilk enstrümanı Aquadrum-pro 11'i geliştirdi. Yaptığı enstrümanlar profesyonel müziğin yanı sıra Orff (çocuk) eğitimi, sanat terapileri, çocuk parkları, engelli terapileri, takım ve liderlik çalışmalarında kullanılmaktadır. Yurt dışında Üniversitelerde workshop ve seminerler vermektedir.

Deniz was born in Istanbul in 1973 and grew up here. His first introduction to drums was in 1985, and he became a professional by 1993. He played with endless number of musicians both in their albums and live on stage which includes Teoman, Kıraç, Feridun Düzağaç, Nil Karaibrahimgil, Funda Arar and Ajda Pekkan. He made an instrumental album in Germany with melodic percussions (the log drums) he was introduced to in 2004. In 2009 he started to produce Aqua drums, which he plays now. He also developed Aquadrum-pro 11 which is the first instrument in melodic percussion family that can switch chords similar to Qanun. The instruments Deniz develops are used not only in professional music, but also in Orrf (child) education, art therapies, kids' playgrounds, therapies for disabilities, team and leadership workshops. Deniz gives seminars and workshops for universities in various countries.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
