Here's the perfect deck for those wanting to get back into standard on the cheap! Sometimes at the beginning of formats, the fastest deck wins, because everybody is still tuning their decks and trying to set up their midrange strategies and three-peice combos. People excited about finally being able to play five-mana creatures again will be caught off guard when we deal 20 before they get to their Glorybringers, Gearhulks and Avacyns!
The deck plays a lot like the legendary mono-red aggro deck from Khans standard, playing very few creatures in favor of cheap spells that pump what creatures we do have (this style of aggro also draws comparisons to U/W Heroic from Theros standard, and Delver decks in older formats). This makes the deck a bit of a glass cannon, but that's okay when Soul-Scar Mage with Consuming Fervor and Cartouche of Zeal ends up doing 7 damage on turn two.
