Sam Kim with Yoon Do-hyun & Heo joon: Trimming the Grass of Father's Tomb LIVE on tvN's "노래의 탄생" (The Birth of a Song," aka, "Melody to Masterpiece") (air date: 10/12/2016) // Lyrics and Music by Kim Chang-ki (of "The Zoo") // Kim Chang-ki wrote this song on the subway to the funeral of his hubae's father. His hubae was almost disowned by his father so Kim wondered how his hubae would feel if he had a chance to trim his father's tomb later. I think this "damn (pathetic), hopeless son" part of the lyrics is in fact the condemning words Kim's hubae had heard from his father. Kim hoped this song would make so many parents out there say sorry to their sons and daughters for all the harsh words and also make the parents say "I love you" to their children.
