Sitting in my garden
in the spring of ‘68
dreaming up calculus.
All of a sudden
An apple falls and I'm like, wait!
Why does all stuff always fall?
Could it be miraculous?
Now I’m searching for right way
to write this theorem day and nightly!
What is this force I feel
but cannot see?
Pulling me down, down, down.
What’s it’s source, for real?
What can it be?
Spinning us round, round, round.
I think I got it figured,
All mass has gravitas
and it’s exerting attraction on everything.
One small problem:
still don't know why this was…
I can calculate everything in the sky,
but I’m still asking why oh why!!
What’s this force that I feel?
Gotta be gravity
pulling me down, down, down.
This equation makes it real!
Modern day sorcery!
Spinning me round, round, round…
Einstein: Perhaps I might be able to explain…
From my mustached faced, to my crazy hair
I’m E baby. That equals MC Square!
Your equations are tasty, but not where I’d stop.
Let me illustrate gravity, with a mic drop…
(mic drop)
Not an equal force in the paradigm,
it’s way the mic moves through the curvature of spacetime
Gravity’s waves bending in the 4th dimension
but you set the groundwork, thank you in abstention.
Newton, thanks for what you showed us.
Newton, we’re standing on your shoulders.
Newton, you’re equations are still up to snuff.
No one had invented pencils but you came up with this stuff!
What is this force that I feel?
Gotta be gravity! (oh yeah, it’s gravity, yeah!)
Pulling me down, down, down.
(oh, it’s pulling me down, down, down!)
This equation makes it real!
Modern day sorcery!
(Well, physics, but sure!)
Spinning me round, round, round!
(Pulling me down, down)
(down, down, down, down!)
(down, down, down)
(Oh yeah man, that’s a killer track!)
