This was such an interesting idea, but it was DANGEROUS! Please, do NOT try this at home. We had proper protection as well as staff to make sure that nothing went wrong during the process. Basically what we did is we made some fire scooter wheels! They were lit (all puns intended)! We basically sprayed the scooter wheel with a WD40 type lubricant and then lit the wheels with a lighter creating a flame on the wheel. We tried to do some scooter tricks while the wheels were hot, but every time I would jump, the flames would go out immediately. I wanted to make sure that the wheel / wheels wouldn't burn anyway, so having them lit for a short amount of time wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The skate park that we did this at was completely concrete so there were no issues of burning down the skatepark at all which was a must. After we were done lighting scooters on fire, we went ahead and got some more clips of some of the local scooter kids doing their own tricks. Jelly ended up doing the best clip of the day with a feeble grind to frontside 720 out on the ledge. Good job Jelly!
