Mohanlal (born 21 May 1960), is an Indian film actor and producer best known for his work in Malayalam movies. He also appeared in Telugu, Tamil movies and sung a songs in some movies. He was born in the Elanthoor village of Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, to Viswanathan Nair and Santhakumari.

On 28 April 1988, Mohanlal married Suchitra. The couple has two children, a son Pranav Mohanlal and a daughter Vismaya Mohanlal.
