Video Leatherman MICRO Micra Mod

Here's my minor upgrade to Noah Spurrier's "Pinkie sized keychain knife from a Leatherman Micra" mod at the InstructablesDOTcom site. It's NOT the popular "key mod" but rather a miniaturization preserving 90% of the stock tools in 1/2 the size. It's THE WORLD'S SMALLEST LEATHERMAN FOLDING MULTI-TOOL packing more tools per oz. than any other! [not to mention the extra items for survival tin use, but I'm not even counting those. They're optional.]

For more rugged keychain carry [where it isn't contained and gets bashed about], I wouldn't bother with the four extra items, but still, preserving 90% of the stock tools in a AAA battery sized tool less than half the size and weight of the original is pretty cool.

It's perfect for travel. It even has a temporary knife blade-free option for airline travel so the TSA doesn't arrest you, Ha-ha.

The well-known Instructables site has the basic howto I followed. See the link above for step-by-step instructions. Don't forget to loosen Leatherman's thread locking compound with a jet torch lighter, heating the bolts prior to unscrewing them, or you may have trouble like I initially did. [I busted one. DOH!
