Mahesh Babu (born: 9 August 1975), is an Indian film actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist. He mostly appears in Telugu cinema. Mahesh Babu was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He was the younger son of veteran Telugu actor Krishna and Indira. Mahesh made his cameo as a child artist in Needa (1979).

On 10 February 2005, Mahesh Babu married Namrata Shirodkar at the Marriott Hotel, Mumbai. The couple has two children, son Gautham Krishna and a daughter Sitara.
