Disney princesses, cartoons and anime characters are fictional for a reason. They aren’t attainable images for humans, they are supposed to be dream-like and untouchable. However, there has been a growing obsession with doll-like features and people have gone to great lengths to transform their natural selves into fictional characters. They’ve spent major moolah on their transformations whether it’s $14,000 on custom Disney Princess dresses or $160,000 on cosmetic procedures to look like a Ken doll.

Looking like a Ken doll is not an unusual goal, it turns out. There are quite a few men who have made it their mission to look like Barbie’s chiseled boyfriend husband. Justin Jedlica is one of them, undergoing over 190 cosmetic surgeries to get the doll-like look. He, along with Rodrigo Alves, has had nose jobs, implants, lipo suction, and the list goes on and on. And who’s Ken without Barbie? There are a few human Barbie dolls who have created buzz around the world with similar traits to the doll including tiny waists, large doe eyes, and trademark long, blond hair.

Others have also gone to very far lengths to reach their fantasy look. One woman spent $120,000 and had six ribs removed to look like her favourite Disney characters. She was originally going for Tinkerbell, although realizes her transformation makes her look more like Jessica Rabbit. And looking like an anime character is another big one people aspire to. A woman by the name of Jacqeline Koh was so committed to this, she spent $136,000 on her transformation, which included eye lid adjustments, ear flattening, and that’s just the tip of the ice berg. Anastasiya Shpagina also has the anime thing going on thanks to cosmetic procedures and heavy makeup. Yet, she still wants more.

It’s amazing what people will put themselves through, and spend, to look like someone else. And the people in this video decided they wanted to look like fictional characters. Everyone’s entitled to their own aspirations, and if this is what makes them happy, then so be it. Its’s just quite interesting when people aspire to be someone that isn’t even real, and the results are astounding. Take a look for yourself.
